Hastings, Nebraska offers many higher education opportunities for traditional and nontraditional students, as well as lifelong adult classes through Hastings College, Central Community College, and the Creighton University School of Nursing, Hastings-Mary Lanning Campus.

Hastings College

Hastings College offers more than 60 majors and 12 pre-professional programs in a liberal arts setting. The College offers cultural, athletic, and academic opportunities that engage and enhance the community and provides employers with a ready source of talent from which they can recruit an educated and talented workforce.

Central Community College

The Central Community College Hastings Campus offers degrees, diplomas and certificates in 28 career and technical education programs, as well as academic transfer courses in 17 areas for students who plan to attend CCC for two years before transferring to a four-year college to complete a bachelor's degree. Of great interest to local employers are opportunities for customized training, and CCC's cutting edge advanced manufacturing and diesel technology programs.

Creighton University School of Nursing, Hastings-Mary Lanning Campus

The Creighton University College of Nursing has achieved a national reputation for its innovative programs that keep pace with the ever-changing field of nursing. Creighton was the first nursing school in Nebraska to offer the Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree and preparation for the newest nursing role, Clinical Nurse Leader.
